My mother inlaw bought it a while ago, had this issue But for some reason the LED does not want to connect to the internet. At first it was the apps that didn't connect and essentially the entire machine could not do anything related to the internet. Now after doing the manual setup, it connects to the router immediately, but still can't get to the internet. I've tried many different IPs, I'm using Google's DNS, I've gone into my router settings and forwarded ports I'm completely out of ideas. At least I don't need the update to play the games I bought. I followed these steps and I was back online. I believe somehow the wireless router lost the dns server info from the modem. 1). Disconnect the wireless router from the modem. 2). Power off the modem. 3). Check the internet connection on your modem. make sure your modem is connected to the internet. If not, you may contact to your isp for fixing the problem. See the connection settings, make sure your modem is properly connected from the internet port of the router.
Sep 30, 2011 · YES, I can access the router configuration page - which I have done an endless amount of time -but cannot connect to the internet.My XP computer comes up with an IP address of 192.168.0.10 and if I ping it,I get 4 sent and 4 received.Also the notification area shows connected to the router -wireless excellent and LAN connected.
If it does not or the log on does not work reset the router by holding in the reset pin until the leds blink. Once the router restarts you should be able to connect however I would recommend one further step that is log on as above but go to Security and change the admin password to something only you know and will remember. And in most cases, when a Roku can't connect to the internet, the problem isn't even with the Roku itself, but rather with the router, other devices in your home, or the connection settings. My ac1200+ router is unable to connect to the internet through a modem. The activity light on the modem and the light on the internet port on the router are on but not blinking. I am able to connect to the router and setup/change settings. Also, I am able to connect to the internet when I connect the modem directly to the computer.
